Therapy is about you... your needs, your hopes for change, your life. It is my job to create a safe, welcoming environment for you to work on the goals we set together.

The relationship between you and your therapist is also important. This relationship is accurately called the therapeutic alliance. You and your therapist enter into a process that involves mutual engagement and a shared commitment to helping you change.
The therapist provides an atmosphere of warmth, safety, and support. In that setting, you can explore deeply personal feelings and experiences with an expectation of your therapist’s respect and concern. The therapeutic relationship provides you with a context in which you can do some of the most important work of your life.

Common issues for clients coming in for therapy include addressing depression, anxiety, stress, life-stage transitions, self-esteem, self-care, relationship issues, and work/home life balance. Clients typically experience multiple symptoms including but not limited to loneliness, sadness, grief, anger, irritability, anxiousness, perfectionism, low energy, frequent fatigue, low motivation, isolation, relationship conflicts, identity issues, and/or a general dissatisfaction in life.

As a generalist I use an integrative and holistic approach to therapy, I tailor treatment to an individuals’ specific preferences while using my expertise to know what may be most helpful to address to create the lasting changes each client seeks. No one therapy session is the same as there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Therefore you can expect a personalized, connected experience addressing exactly what you want and need individually for therapy to be supportive and effective.
25 years of meditation and spiritual practice allows me to hold a field of healing presence while you journey inside to explore your inner world. Many people find they can do the healing necessary and process the deep rooted issues that continue to come up in the present. This can be done more rapidly with me because I hold a strong presence people sense when they are with me in sessions.Through my own personal journey I have been able to tap into the power of the Self, the healer within me to reach these deep places of calm and you will learn to tap into that healer within you. We are all made up of energy and I am highly in-tune to the energy fields which also invites an intuitive component to the process.
You can expect to get actionable steps to help you to become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and behavioral patterns. I am a creative problem solver. I will teach you how to regulate your own nervous system so that you can regain back control when your system has go offline. You will learn meditation techniques and mindfulness strategies to connect and communicate effectively within your own inner system. I will help you to maintain control by coming from your authentic Self instead of allowing a part of you to lead. Once you learn how to Self lead, you will know if you or a part of you in taking the lead in any given moment. I will also help you effectively communicate with others so that when conflict arises, you will know what to do. We all have moments where a part of us takes control and leads us away from what we truly want. We also have moments where our authentic Self shines. Moments of creativity, confidence, connection, clarity and courage. When we live our lives from this place, there is a flow and ease to our day and we feel good in our own body. When a defensive part or wound gets triggered, I am able to help guide you back to being Self led where the triggering part will back down and let you take back control and Self lead your system in the direction you want to go with safety. These part will learn to feel trusting of you when they know you are present, compassionate and willing to listen.
Our meetings will start with a 45-60 minute initial session exploring your history of mental, physical, and relational health as well as collaborative treatment planning clarifying yours goals and desired results from therapy. After that, 45-60 minute follow-up sessions provide you learning, exploration, prompted self reflection, skill-building, and planned application with intention to create the sustainable, positive changes you’re seeking.
Currently I am now offering virtual sessions as needed. Whether you’re on vacation, unable to get away from the office, or stuck at home from inclement weather, or a pandemic, rest assured you can still fit in your therapy session with me remotely.
